Born from a desire to dress our little goddess in clothes that are uncompromising, ethical, sustainable and affordable. I have always been interested in fashion, and loved drawing pictures of beautiful gowns as a young girl, but never did I think I would design and create my own brand. Coming from an advertising background, creativity comes naturally, but this has been so far the best and most rewarding creative journey I have embarked on. I hope you will enjoying dressing your little goddesses and gods in these lovingly designed and made clothes.
Mikri TheA meaning "Little Goddess" in Greek.
I am proud of the fact that I am creating an ethical and sustainable brand, and will always stay true to the core values. It is the essence of why I started this brand and will continue to make choices that will secure a more sustainable future for our children and theirs.
All pieces are Dubai designed and made with love by a family run factory in India.
The passion for creating has always been within me, and it is a journey that has taken many twists and turns along the way. Born and raised in Africa, with an appreciation for nature and its balance, I completed my studies and worked as an Art Director. Years later, living in Dubai, I can fully express the passion that lies deep within. After I had my little girl the dream took wings and it continues to fly. Being and creating an ethical and sustainable brand brings with it immense responsibility. Every decision takes serious consideration and thought, and it is my daughter that inspires me to strive towards a better future, setting an example for her and challenging myself to make better choices and push my passion further. It is such a rewarding journey amplified by customers commenting on the excellent quality and beautiful soft designs. It is incredibly satisfying, but what makes me proud is knowing I am setting an example for my daughter, teaching her kindness towards others, herself and this earth.
Organic Cotton Clothing - What is Organic Cotton?
Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilisers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Third-party certification organisations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic fertilisers.
When using manufacturers that are GOTS certified, we know our material are sourced in a sustainable way and the makers and farmers alike are being paid a fair wage.
We care about the environment, so with each purchase you will receive a reusable cotton bag. It is advised to wash your Mikrí Theá garment in this bag to prolong their life. It also doubles as a travel organiser and helps us remain sustainable reducing the amount of waste we produce. Something we feel passionate about.
